Why bother with Free-to-Air satellite TV if you could get high definition television. A good reason is because it’s free. If you like watching television, then having even more programs to watch without any subscription fees may be of interest to you.

So should you even look into free television anymore?

That’s something that you’ll have to decide. There are still people that aren’t so much into television. In this case, even free to air TV would alright. Why pay for programming when you’re not even going to watch it?

Are there more free to air channels available?

There are 2 major ways. The first way is to receive it via satellite. This is commonly referred to as Free-to-Air TV (FTA). In this case, you’ll be paying for a receiver, a dish, and maybe installation. The other option is to get it through your computer. There are not subsciption fees for both options.

Why haven’t I heard about FTA before?

Most people have never heard about other sources of free TV, and that includes FTA as well. In many cases, you’d have to jump through hoops trying to find out what free stations you can get.

With the internet, it’s much easier than before. You don’t have to call around, nor do you have to hunt through books or ads to find free TV sources. So check out the online sources first. You’ll find out how you can get free to air programming from the convenience of your home.

Is there anything bad about FTA?

The programs on FTA may be entertaining, but it really depends on your taste. While there are hundreds or even thousands of channels available, they may not be the programs that you’d want to watch. So besides FTA satellite TV, you might want to look into free television through your PC.
